Product Description
This DarkRay was designed in collaboration with Darkglass Electronics, a world-renowned bass accessory manufacturer. While already highly acclaimed under the Musicman brand, it has finally arrived under the Sterling brand as well. This instrument is equipped with a new 2-band EQ preamp specially designed by Darkglass, the same as the one in the USA model, specifically for the DarkRay. This preamp allows you to select three modes: Clean, Alpha (distortion), and Omega (fuzz), each offering a very unique and useful sound. These circuits can be mixed using the onboard gain knob and blend control, allowing users to customize their sound to their preference. You can achieve an astonishingly clean tone with a slight gain, or a ferocious fuzz tone without losing low-end frequencies. The brightly illuminated LED ring and 3-way lever switch indicate which mode is selected. Special specifications include an Alnico humbucking pickup, a highly durable roasted maple neck, a comfort-contoured body, an ebony fingerboard, and the familiar 3+1 headstock.
