Vintage Tie Clip R.B.Z. Mexico 925  Sterling Silver Aztec Mask  Stamped .925, Hecho en Mexico, and R.B.Z, this piece was made during the golden era of Mexican silver craftsmanship, when small workshops produced sculptural jewelry inspired by indigenous Mesoamerican art.  The mask is mounted on a solid, heavy sterling silver tie bar with a smooth spring clip back. The silver has developed natural fire-scale and light surface oxidation from age and original studio heating, visible as subtle darker areas in the metal. This is normal for vintage Mexican sterling and confirms authenticity rather than detracting from it. The recesses of the mask also show gentle natural patina that highlights the deeply carved facial features.
