Euphonium Practice Book for Junior High and High School Concert Bands
This is a practice book with a textbook for euphonium, designed for junior high and high school students who have just joined a concert band, with the theme See the difference in 2 weeks!
This book features a 14-day practice program, with one song per day, designed to naturally improve your playing skills while you play popular songs. Each song is set with 14 essential themes for euphonium performance, such as long tones, tonguing, range expansion, fingering, dynamics, and rhythm, and is structured to combine basic and applied practice.
The song selection covers a wide range of genres, from popular songs like Yellow Magic Orchestra's Raijin, RADWIMPS' Zenzenzense, SEKAI NO OWARI's RPG, Gen Hoshino's Koi, and GReeeeN's Kiseki, to concert band standards like Holst's Jupiter and Verdi's Aida Grand March.
In particular, detailed explanations and practice points are provided for fingering, which is often a hurdle for euphonium beginners. For example, in No. 07 Himawari no Yakusoku, the theme is Master smooth finger movements, focusing on training finger movements. It also carefully explains the basics of the euphonium, including the names of each part of the instrument, how to tune, and fingering charts, making it an ideal first textbook.
This euphonium practice book will serve as a guide for daily practice for junior and senior high school students who want to practice efficiently in their concert bands or are unsure what to do in their individual practice.
