1980 Portland Nikkei 45th Anniversary Sake‎ Bottle Japanese Women Society

This vintage stoneware sake bottle (tokkuri) was commissioned in 1980 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Portland Nikkei Fujinkai (Japanese Ancestral Women's Association). It features a traditional tapered form with a speckled gray glaze and hand-applied Japanese calligraphy.  * Organization: Portland Nikkei Fujinkai (Est. 1935) * Date: 1980 (45th Anniversary) * Material: Stoneware * Origin: Portland, Oregon (Japanese-American History) * Dimensions: Approx. 6.5 H  Excellent condition. The stoneware is free of chips or cracks. The calligraphy is crisp and the blue maker's mark on the base is clear and unfaded.  We carefully select every item and believe in transparency.
