Description
Fukuyama Koto, a traditional craft from Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
This is a piece that showcases the meticulous craftsmanship of the once renowned Makimoto Gakki (trade name: Yamayu).
Although kotos from this company are now rare, their solid construction and beautiful resonance are still cherished by many enthusiasts today.
With its elegant makie (gold lacquer decoration) and kin-guchi-mae (decorative front edge), it is perfectly suitable for both concert performances and practice.

*Maintained by a specialist
Prior to listing, the strings (top and bottom) have been tightened by a specialist.
Normally, just tightening the strings costs around 10,000 to 20,000 yen, making this a very good value.
Sound has been confirmed from Hirajoshi to Kokin-joshi tuning, so you can enjoy its authentic tone as soon as you receive it.
