Vintage souvenir doll by Monique, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands — the well-known Caribbean costume doll line sold in the St. Thomas shops in the 1970s and 80s, with the original Monique label sewn onto the apron. Comes with a round display stand.  Vinyl doll with sleep eyes, painted features, gold-tone hoop earrings, and dark hair tucked under a traditional head wrap. She wears a classic West Indian market-woman costume: a yellow dress with a confetti-dot print skirt, a puffed-sleeve bodice with a matching sash, a white lace-trimmed apron, and a coordinating yellow print head tie knotted at the front.
