The pliers have chipped tips, so they cannot remove small split rings, but they can remove size #5 split rings.
I mostly used them for hook removal.
The Belmont fish grip has not been used much, but the final closing action doesn't engage on its own. It will close securely if you manually push the lever or quickly release it.
Both items are used and have defects, so please purchase with this understanding.
After taking the photos, the leash cord on the fish grip broke.
There may be other overlooked issues, so please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such things.
