Kawase Mitsu Ori is a long-established weaving mill founded in 1852 (Kaei 5) in Nishijin, Kyoto. Known by the brand name Mitsuru Obi, it is characterized by its craftsmanship that fuses traditional techniques cultivated over more than 170 years of history with a modern sensibility.

- Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
While inheriting the techniques of Nishijin weaving that have continued since the Edo period, they develop original products such as obi using diamond foil and motifs inspired by works of famous artists like Alphonse Mucha and Ito Jakuchu.

- High Acclaim
Their technical skill is highly recognized officially, including being honored as Kyo no Roho (Kyoto's Long-Established Business) by Kyoto Prefecture in 1997 and receiving the Prime Minister's Award in 2013.
