Vintage Frederick Pewter Canada Eagle Head Belt Buckle Black Cabochon Eye

Striking vintage eagle head belt buckle by Frederick Pewter Canada, featuring exceptionally detailed feather work and a dark domed cabochon eye.  The sculpted eagle has a bold three-dimensional design with individually textured feathers, a sweeping brow and hooked beak. The pewter finish has attractive age-related variation that emphasizes the detail.  Marked on the reverse:  FREDERICK PEWTER CANADA  Approximate measurements:   3.47 wide  2.09 high  Belt loop measures approximately 1.98 across  The dark cabochon eye has subtle natural-looking flecks visible under magnification. The exact material of the cabochon is unknown and is therefore not represented as a particular stone.  Pre-owned vintage condition with normal surface wear and patina consistent with age.
