Schramberg Majolica Plate, Windmills & Sailboats, Hand Painted Germany 1920s
Schramberg
This hand-painted ceramic plate was produced by the Schramberger Majolica Factory in Württemberg, West Germany, likely in the 1920s or 1930s. Measuring approximately 7¾ in diameter, the plate features a central pastoral scene of a farmer in a field, surrounded by a charming border of alternating windmills and sailboats rendered in bold blue and rust tones. The thin blue rim and stylized motifs suggest it may have been designed as a child’s dish or decorative souvenir. In good antique condition with one shallow chip beneath the rim that does not show when displayed.
