Vintage Valeriano Paz Chulucanas Peru Signed Art Pottery Nesting Vases 3pc Set

Up for sale is an extraordinary, authentic vintage 3-piece nesting set of Chulucanas studio art pottery vases, hand-signed by the highly collected master ceramicist Valeriano Paz. Individually handcrafted in the Piura region of northern Peru during the late 20th century, these heavy stoneware vessels showcase the ancient, pre-Inca Tallán negative-staining technique, utilizing burning mango tree leaves to achieve a rich, stone-burnished matte black finish. Each vase features a striking, high-contrast ivory-toned geometric layout adorned with sharp spiral bands and stylized minimalist motifs. All three nesting pieces are in excellent vintage condition with beautifully preserved matte surfaces, tightly retained colors, and clear Chulucanas Peru signatures incised on the raw clay bases. This cohesive, artisan-signed trio makes a masterful statement set for high-end Mid-Century Modern, bohemian, or global-eclectic interior displays and will be meticulously bubble-wrapped, double-boxed, and fully insured to guarantee safe transit to its new owner.
