Description
Antique Triplex nautical bow lantern with divided red and blue ribbed Fresnel glass lens. The glass bears the Triplex mark, and the rear metal plate is marked PATENTED APRIL 1ST 1913. The back also has an older handwritten CAPE COD 7/3/66 marking as shown. The lantern has been converted to electric lighting with a cord and inline switch and illuminates through both colored lens sections. Metal housing shows substantial age-related finish wear, scratches, oxidation, paint loss and other surface wear. Electrical components and conversion are later additions. Please review all photos closely for construction, markings and condition. Sold as a vintage collectible and decorative light.
