5 Anthropomorphic Hand-Painted Vegetable Cotton Feed Sack Kitchen Towels

The decoration looks hand-painted/stenciled rather than ordinary factory screen printing. You can see variations in paint density, soft edges, brush/stencil shading, and individually drawn black facial details. The cotton fabric and simple hems also fit a mid-century kitchen textile, most likely late 1940s-1950s.  The anthropomorphic vegetables are so cute: the smiling cabbage, potato, radishes, tomato and yellow vegetables have the classic whimsical postwar kitchen look. The towels vary in size, see pictures for measurements.  There were 2 small faded areas on 2 of the towels that hVe some discoloration. See photos, although they are so light its hard to see them.
