An extraordinary and monumental mid-century Murano art glass vase, standing an impressive 14 inches tall and weighing a substantial 6.8 lbs. This architectural statement piece showcase a masterclass in Venetian hand-blown glassmaking techniques from the peak post-war era (circa 1950s/1960s).  ​The vase features a dramatic, highly stylized tri-point crown rim finished with a thick, controlled casing of deep cobalt and black glass. The body exhibits a complex, multi-layered construction: a crisp white internal lattimo core is layered beneath a vibrant field of powder-blue spatter glass infused with an expert, controlled bullicante technique (thousands of tiny, evenly trapped air bubbles). The exterior is wrapped in striking, heavy ribbons of vivid orange, emerald green, canary yellow, and aventurine-brown glass, masterfully pulled into soaring, symmetrical arches—a flawless execution of the traditional fenicio (dragged loop) design. ​The piece terminates in a heavily gathered, solid clear glass base with a perfectly flat, highly polished pontil, highlighting the incredible gauge and optical clarity of the glass. ​Unsigned as is typical for production of this era, this exceptional piece strongly exhibits the design vocabulary, vivid palette, and technical execution of prestigious Murano furnaces such as Fratelli Toso or A.V.E.M.
